ABOUT DEVOURING SPACE
Hannah G Shell, Cyclist
Three years ago after an injury benched me permanently from long-distance running, I picked up a road bike and started riding. My first race left me exhausted, exhilarated, and eager to see how far racing could take me. For the 2018 season I signed my first contract with Papa Johns p/b Trek. My journey through cycling has been both humbling and empowering. My bike gives me confidence, training gives me power, and the combination gives me the ability to devour both the space around me physically and the space between where I am and where I want to be. This blog documents my journey.
In addition to racing my bike, I'm a full-time research associate at the federal reserve bank of Saint Louis. My research interests lie in applied macroeconomics, political economics, econometrics, and women's empowerment. I am the proud mother of two cat babies. A self-proclaimed foodie and (very) amateur chef. Semi-regular practicing yogi and consumer of all things coffee.
